Fashion X: Austin Fashion Week Switches Up the Format
All photos were taken on my iPhone 7+.
It felt surreal standing on the KLRU-TV Studio 6A stage for the 10th Annual Austin Fashion Week presented by Roger Beasley Mazda. I had to get a shot on such a historical stage, which made Austin the "Live Musical Capital of the World." Quick back history: this is the set for the longest-running music series in American television history, with its first program showcasing Willie Nelson. Kicking off the fashion shows at this impressive venue was the right choice. (You could smell the rock 'n roll and it felt like home. I didn't want to leave- ha!)The kick off's new runway format brought inclusion for different types of models, including moms and their daughters rocking coordinated looks by Arie X Avie. This line is created by Leah Harris. The second set of runway looks was also ALBA's debut runway show. I wanted the posh blazers for myself-- sorry, husband! While models strutted around the room, there were musical performances by The Mrs. band and a special performance by SaulPaul. They rocked my socks! If you’re debating to get tickets for each night, go and buy them before you’ve got FOMO. I had a blast chatting with familiar faces and making new friends, too. Who is excited to explore more of this new format? Thanks again to Fashion X for the complimentary press tickets, so I can showcase what I see here and on Instagram + Insta Stories. (Be sure to follow me @gingermeglam, so you can see more behind-the-scenes.)See you all at night one/ April 5th!XoXo 💖💕💖💕💖💕💖💕💖💕
