Curb Appeal with A Light Show You Won’t Want to Miss
Whether you’re on a family road trip or out with friends, all 6 trims proudly show off that new front fascia with unique design cues. This means across that large front panel on the front end, it covers the shock absorbing components, improves the overall vehicle aerodynamics, and showcases the grille and headlamps with a design you may have seen somewhere else. I loved this refresh, especially the black grille and bowties you’ll find on the RST and Z71—and let’s not forget the red recovery hooks on the Z71 with a skid plate underneath the front bay. It would be hard to choose at first glance. I could not stop looking at the lineup from afar. Every time those lights turned on, it has such a satisfying aesthetic you can’t say no to when pulling up. There are two new colors: Cypress Gray on the Z71 and Lakeshore Blue Metallic on the High Country trim.
Yes, the styling is taking points from the fan-favorite Chevrolet Silverado. Thanks to those truck headlights, it’s safe to say everyone is crazy for this refresh upfront. I loved the ruggedness of the Z71 trim, while the luxury trims Premier and High Country build upon the RST features included. The daytime running lights have a more prominent look at the top, showcasing an angled prism and creating a bold illumination with a sleek, stunning style. Across the Premier and High Country trims, you’ll get the uplevel animated LED headlamps and tail lights. What’s not to love with these higher trims? Now, if you’re on a budget and seeking the best value, the LS and LT are jam-packed with plenty of standard items with a premium feel to get the most bang for your buck.
If you’re young like us and seeking a more sporty full-size SUV, you might want to go on adventures in the great outdoors with the Z71. With hill descent control, 4WD, and all-terrain tires, you’ll be equipped for any rock or hill in your path. For those with a taste for luxury no matter what, spare no chrome or pampering! You can enjoy chrome details across the door handles, mirror caps, and roof rails while paired with 20” polished wheels powered seats through the front and second row, while easy access to the 3rd row with power-folding bench seating. And legroom? Yes, that is totally a thing with this full-size SUV.
At the top of the trims, the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban High Country sit pretty and powerful with prowess like no other. You’ll find the High Country logo embroidered onto the headrest, engraved in the steering wheel, and bright sill plates to showcase this extra-fabulous trim.

Relax, There’s AppleCar Play and Android Auto Onboard (And Interior Finishes You’ll Love)
We love when there’s more to love starting at the base trim, LS, with standard items that feel premium. There’s a 17.7” diagonal center touchscreen with Google built-in and an 11” diagonal digital gauge cluster where you can customize your driver information center with what you want and need. This is revamped and centered for closer charging immersed within stylish finishes. For wireless phone charging, heated front seats, driver power seat memory, leather seating, and a power liftgate, upgrade to the LT trim. Across the trims, you’ll get sweeping lines and lowering the overall instrument panel gives a perceivably more spacious interior for both the driver and front row passenger.
Smartphone users, you can breathe a bit here. Your beloved Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available wirelessly across the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban lineup. No phone will be left behind here. (And with plenty of charging throughout, everyone can happily charge and be entertained without a worry.) Ok, so where are we putting everything? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Storage is all the rage in these full-size SUVs, and it did not disappoint with the center console. The new storage option to expand the space for your purse or snacks, and send the cupholders back to reach closer to the second-row passengers. You can also cover up the center console with the touch of a button and essentially create lockable storage. Unexpected surprises everywhere! I was impressed and it helped me organize myself when setting and positioning my driver seat. When you have a place for your purse, you can focus on what’s important.
Once you’ve set your powered seat to the perfect ergonomic fit for you and paired your device to navigate a hands-free, stress-free adventure time, you can get acquainted with the new steering wheel design. When you’re navigating, you can send the map directions from the infotainment to the driver information center and back if you want it out of the way.

More Power for Maximum Enjoyment
Since I’m a little extra myself, and while I love the Z71 for off-roading, I’m a sucker for tech and big wheels. The High Country trim offers up 22” bright machined and painted After Midnight wheels, all-season tires, rectangular dual exhaust, head-up display, rear camera mirror, and all of the comforts of the Premier trim. This is definitely the tech-centric driver’s dream right here: talk Google to me and relax in those comfy, powered seats. (And in Texas, you know I’m all about the heated and ventilated seats. Lifesavers, ok? IYKYK.) Chevrolet did not make it easy for a young tech fan like me, when I would have to decide between the Z71 and High Country.
If lifestyle comes down to it, here is where you can make your under-the-hood concessions for what might make the most sense. With more powerful engines like the 5.3L EcoTec V8 across the LS, LT, RST, Z71, and Premier, you’ll get 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft of torque for all the power to do everything you love. Now if you’re hauling, this is where the 6.2L EcoTec V8 aligns for you. This engine comes standard on the High Country, and if you’re like me and between a couple of trims, you’ve got good news! This engine is available on the RST, Z71, and Premier. Here you’ll get 420 horsepower and 460lb.-ft of torque to haul all your favorite family toys and/or a trailer with all your essentials.
While it was super hot outside and I was not about to touch the hood, my driving experience alone gave me a thrill with its throatiness and wooed me with its fuel efficiency. The new Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel is available on every trim except the base trim: LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. This new engine offers an improved 305 horsepower and 495lb.-ft of torque, which is ready to put the power down as fast as you desire. This will get you 10% more horsepower than any previous-generation diesel engine. And if you still were between trims like the Z71 and High Country, you could opt for this diesel engine either way. This is also available on the Z71 trim for the first time.
With three distinct powertrains, each bring a balance of power, efficiency, and capability, so you can be confident no matter which one you choose. But what is the perfect option for you? I’ll let you decide.

The Driving Vibes are Immaculate
With ride-and-handling refinements, take your pick. Across each of the 6 trims, you’ll be pleasantly surprised across what you’d expect for each trim. The LS comes standard with a premium smooth ride suspension, so there’s no way you’ll miss out on enjoying the ride with the whole family. You’ll get 18” standard wheels on the LS and LT, but with the RST, enjoy sitting a bit higher with those 22” bright machined High-Gloss Black painted wheels and all-season tires. But if you’re looking to sit higher at 20”, cross check between the Z71 and Premier.
While driving from Deep Ellum to Fort Worth and back, the drive felt quiet, comfortable, and seamless. Knowing where there were bumps in the road and even with stop-and-go traffic, the ride was enjoyable. While riding most notably in the High Country trim, Google built-in navigating and music bumping from the 10-speaker Bose premium audio is transcendent. The speed limits fluctuated as they do in Texas, so the head-up display allowed me to enjoy the drive without second-guessing my speed throughout the route. Knowing I could look back through the rear camera mirror, the ride felt seamless and more enjoyable than when pushing through traffic without these creature comforts. Access to the comfort, tech, and power behind the turbo-diesel engine changed the way I viewed taking the scenic route.
When entering the highway, the air ride adaptive suspension lowers without notifying the driver, so you’re experiencing an automatic lowering to help reduce aerodynamic drag. And in the Z71, you’re already clearing 8” but with the driver selectable heights, switch to 4L and gain an extra inch for those rocky climbs ahead of you. While we’re not getting the AEV Bison treatment in a family hauling, full-size SUV, you still want to know you can enjoy the capabilities while reducing any entry/exit issues while off-roading.
If you want to add more peace into your long drives and hauling, Super Cruise is smart, easy-to-use for all levels of hauling experience, and increases your desire to drive the distance with all of the comfort and tech in mind. This trailering-compatible, lane-centering feature is available on LT, RST, Premier, and High Country trims. I am still intrigued that there is an AutoSense power liftgate with the Premier and High Country trims only, where the key fob is sensed for an automatic lift. I won’t have to wave my leg anymore, but this alone makes it worth the upgrade. I am short and carrying all the things all of the time. Help me out? Yes, please.
